While selling for the Universal team I developed skills that I have used to get better jobs
and serve in my current career. Universal wasn’t only a good paying summer job,
it was an internship in how to work with people. I highly recommend it!

I enjoyed selling for the Universal team
in the summer of 2004. The work was
rewarding and there was positive coaching
and training all along the way. The
money I earned that summer helped get
my wife and I settled into our first
home. The after-work atmosphere was also a highlight of that summer.
We all had a blast hanging out together and became good friends.
I really miss those guys!

After seeing friends succeed summer after summer,
I finally gave it a shot. I had zero experience selling anything,
let alone door-to-door sales. Despite the learning curve,
I was able to make more money my first month than I usually made in the whole summer at home.
I attribute this early success to experienced team
|
leaders and great training from management.
The following month my sales doubled and the rest is history.
It is hard work, but the money is astounding.
The money is real and actually shows up every two weeks,
you don’t have to wait till the end of the summer for your payday!
I continued to sell for a total of three summers,
each summer coming back with more money than the previous.
Pest control contracts are easy to sell,
especially when you are selling for reputable companies like those Universal has contracted.
I loved it and have a lot of great memories including surfing at Newport Beach,
riding motorcycles to MLB games, and even a little Halo.
As a result of my sales experience, I was able to land my dream job.
I highly recommend Universal Marketing as a premier summer sales company.

I never felt like I was just another salesman, just another number to the 'company.'
I really felt like they were concerned about my success both personally and financially.
When I was doing poorly, my manager went out personally with me to help me get my confidence
back and pick me
|
up out of my slump. When I was doing great, my manager was rooting for me,
helping me to go even farther. I was never the greatest salesman, in fact, I was the worst in the office!
But after all was said and done, because of their support I was able to finish the summer and make over 20,000 along the way.

My summer selling pest control in 2006 with Universal was very rewarding.
As a first year salesman, I was a little apprehensive about being a door to door salesman.
As it turned out, I received excellent coaching, training, and feedback all throughout the
summer that helped me succeed. It was hard work--don't get me wrong--but it paid off tremendously.
I was able to earn enough money to go to school fulltime.
Not having a part time job during school meant more time for homework and quality time with my wife.

I worked for Universal during four different summers. Each summer was an absolute BLAST!
The work was hard but always worth it each time that paycheck came in! In fact,
thanks to those hot summers in California and those blessed bugs..
I was able to focus full-time on my college classes.
In fact, my wife and I were able to graduate not only debt free but with a small
|
savings to help
move into a home. The REAL benefit from pest control for me was not just in the money,
but the experience. After college, I was immediately offered a sales position with two different
pharmaceutical companies. Interviewers could not help but be impressed with someone that
could handle the "cold call" sell on the door. They also know that a door to door salesman is most
likely going to know how to work hard. Four summers of hard but fun work have already paid off great
dividends for me and my family!

Working for Universal Marketing has been a very growing and rewarding experience.
I never thought that I would be selling for one of the companies that claimed things like
“You to can make $100,000 dollars in just one summer!”
Skeptical at first, I decided I would try it out for 2 weeks while I waited for my good paying,
$1000/ week
|
construction job to start.
Needless to say, I never made it to the construction site.
Five years later, I am still setting and achieving my goals through the training and incentives that Universal has created.
I now sell over 400 accounts each summer and make more money than I would have ever expected to make in a full time,
year round job. By working hard in the summer, I have afforded a college degree, a wedding,
several awesome vacations, a home, a rental property, and more.
More than anything, it has given me a new perspective!
I now have the confidence, experience, training, and motivation to be successful in any business endeavor.
Thanks Universal Marketing!
